ESSENTIAL INFORMATION

- Pay Considerations - The salary range for the position is $70,125.99 - $112,488.88 Starting salary is dependent on education, qualifications, and experience. Depending on qualifications and experience, the incumbent can expect to start between the minimum of the range and up to around the 25th percentile of the range.
- Work Schedule - This position is scheduled to work 4 days per week, 9 hours per day, Monday through Thursday, 8:00am to 6:00pm.
THE ROLE
Under general direction, develops, manages, and administers the City's Municipal Forestry and Sustainability Programs. Coordinates forestry program activities and timetables with Park Maintenance Division staff to ensure the preservation, inventory, health, and maintenance of trees on City property. Coordinates, manages, and oversees maintenance contracts; and performs related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree from accredited college or university in Horticulture; Urban Forestry, Landscape Architecture, Environmental Science or closely related field.
- Three (3) years of experience in municipal/urban forestry or horticulture.
- Equivalency: Minimum seven (7) years combination of education, training, and experience which produce the knowledge and skills required to perform the essential functions of the position. The city assesses (one) 1 year of full-time experience as equivalent to one (1) year of education
Licenses and Certifications
- Must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Nevada driver's license and maintain satisfactory motor vehicle record.
- A valid and current certification as an ISA Certified Arborist is required at the time of application. Must maintain the certification as condition of continued employment.
- Required to obtain and maintain an OSHA-30 Hour card within 15 days of hire.
