The Position

Management Analysts conduct a variety of studies, research and analysis of management and administrative areas such as budgeting and financial analysis; departmental operations; legislative analysis; management research; and statistical and informational analysis.

Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training.

The Division of Welfare and Support Services (DWSS) is recruiting to fill a Management Analyst I vacancy within our Facilities, Allocations/Audits/APD's, and Contract Team (FACT) in the Carson City administrative office. The incumbent will serve as one of the division's Certified Contract Managers (CCM) in a supportive capacity by assisting with the coordination of contract procurement, including developing and facilitating informal solicitations in accordance with State procurement standards, assisting with processing agency contracts and subawards, providing technical assistance to staff during the contracting and subaward process, ensuring ongoing contractor compliance with insurance requirements, and assisting with document retention. This position is responsible for reviewing scopes of work, budgets, and contractual documents for accuracy and completeness; ensuring contract and subaward documents are in compliance with State and Federal guidelines as appropriate; and meeting all deadlines in a timely manner. The incumbent possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform entry-level work and has the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment as part of a larger contract management team. The position requires participation in internal meetings and may require help with additional special projects as assigned. To Qualify:

In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications) Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and one year of professional experience in the research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures; OR graduation from high school or equivalent education and three years of professional experience as described above; OR two years of experience as an Accountant Technician I or Tax Examiner II in Nevada State service; OR one year of experience as an Accountant Technician II or Fiscal/Business Professional Trainee in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above. Special Requirements This position requires a valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment. This position requires a State of Nevada/FBI fingerprint-based background check as a condition of appointment and as condition of continuing employment.
