Pay Considerations -The salary range for the position is $70,125.98 to $112,488.87. Starting salary is dependent on education, qualifications, and experience. The incumbent can expect to start between the minimum of the range and up to around the 25th percentile of the range. - Work Schedule - This position is scheduled to work 4 days per week, 9 hours per day, Monday through Thursday, 8:00am to 6:00pm.

- Works in a normal office environment where there is little or no physical discomfort associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt and the like.
- While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk or hear, and lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Must have the ability to travel as required.
- May be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Regular and timely attendance is required.
THE ROLE
Under general direction, provides strategic, operational, and administrative leadership for the NLVLD's development function. Responsibilities include collaborating with the Friends of the North Las Vegas Library District (FRIENDS), fund-raising programs, grants management, volunteer programs, and bookstore management. Supervises and manages service delivery for NLVLD's development function, fosters community relationships, and provides oversight to District-wide partnerships, projects, programs, and committees.

IDEAL CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional interpersonal skills and strong leadership attributes. Knowledge, skills and abilities in managing and promoting fundraising events, experience working with non-profit organizations, a strategic planner who is adept at fostering relationships in the community and with the City's stakeholders. The candidate will support the current strategic plan for the Library District, and work with the library management team on future strategic planning initiatives.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Public Administration, Business Administration or closely related field.
- Three (3) years of progressively responsible office management, grant-writing, non-profit management and/or non-profit bookkeeping experience.
- Public agency experience preferred.
- Master's degree in Public or Business Administration is desired.
- Equivalency: Seven (7) years of any combination of education, training, and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions.
Licenses and Certifications
- Must possess a valid Nevada state driver's license or have the ability to obtain, and maintain a satisfactory motor vehicle record.
Certified Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE) is desired.
